After completing his training as a <strong>resident intern at the Vall d&#8217;Hebron University Hospital<\/strong>, Barcelona, he worked in the Clinical Neuroimmunology Unit and the Neurology Service of the same center until 2010. He then moved to London, UK, to work at the <strong>MRC Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases, UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology<\/strong>. At this center he gained extensive<strong> clinical and research experience<\/strong> in the area of <strong>neuromuscular diseases, including peripheral nerve (neuropathies) and muscle (myopathies) diseases and mitochondrial diseases<\/strong>. While in the UK he also undertook training in nerve conduction studies and electromyography at the <strong>Department of Neurophysiology at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery<\/strong>.
