Since then, studies with conflicting data on the efficacy of this treatment had been published.    <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High-dose intravenous methylprednisolone study<\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <em>Neurology<\/em> Liu et al <a href=\"#_ftn2\">[2]<\/a> publish the result of a meta-analysis in which the results indicate that the use of intravenous methylprednisolone at high doses does not contribute to a better recovery and may cause complications (respiratory infection, gastrointestinal bleeding).<\/p>\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>References:<\/p><p> [<a href=\"#_ftnref1\">1]<\/a> Bracken MB et al.
