La ulegiria es una alteración de la estructura de la corteza cerebral secundaria a un daño hipóxico-isquémico perinatal y es una causa frecuente de epilepsia focal. Es típica en los lóbulos occipitales y se caracteriza porque los giros afectados tienen forma de “champiñón”. Ulegyria is an structural abnormality of the brain cortex secondary to an hypoxic-ischaemic damage in the perinatal period and it’s a frequent cause of focal epilepsy. It’s typical in the occipital lobes and icharacterized for the mushroom-shaped affected gyri.
