Las descargas lateralizadas periódicas (“LPDs” por sus siglas en inglés) aparecen típicamente en lesiones estructurales focales, y si van a >2,5 Hz constituyen un criterio de estatus epiléptico. Este es un ejemplo de una lesión frontal izquierda en RM (secuencia T2 axial) con LPDs en el EEG.
