Postural hygiene: exercises and recommendations

In our daily life we face constant stressful situations, which progressively worsen our quality of life, causing the appearance of pain, muscle retraction or joint limitation. This is usually due to the fact that we tend to perform postures and movements that are not suitable for our body, and in particular, for our back. For example, repetitive movements and gestures or maintaining fixed postures for long periods of time.

It is important to have a good awareness of our posture in order to integrate correct ergonomics, which is known as “postural hygiene”. To achieve this, it is advisable to carry out regular and moderate physical activity, and thus avoid a sedentary lifestyle.

How to get it?

Physiotherapists can help through a series of guidelines and exercises to improve posture, flexibility and in general to achieve a good physical maintenance, to prevent and rehabilitate injuries.
