VIII Conference of the Iberian Club of Neuro-ophthalmology

The VIII Conference of the Iberian Neuro-Ophthalmology Club will be held at the Ruber Internacional Hospital in Madrid on May 17th and 18th. This meeting will be directed by Dr. Oriol Franch and Dr. Alberto Gálvez.

The Iberian Neuro-Ophthalmology Club was formed at the meeting of the European Neuro-Ophthalmology Society held in Barcelona in 2011. On that occasion a group of Spanish and Portuguese ophthalmologists and neurologists interested in neuro-ophthalmology took the initiative to organize themselves. Since then, annual meetings have been held in different cities in Spain and Portugal.

Neuro-ophthalmology is the subspecialty of neurology or ophthalmology that has competence in visual disorders that are due to alterations of the nervous system and not of the eyes.

At the meeting, as usual, clinical cases of special interest will be presented for discussion. This year, as a novelty, in addition to the presentation of several neuro-ophthalmological topics, cases of patients with undiagnosed neuro-ophthalmological disorders will be presented in an attempt to contribute to their resolution.
