The Epilepsy Program of the Neurology Department of the Ruber International Hospital https://www.ruberinternacional.es/ in Madrid is looking for patients for a new trial. A promising treatment, not yet marketed, for people suffering from focal epilepsy who have not responded to two or more drugs.
Epilepsy Assay CVL-865
As the drug is not yet commercialized, this is the only way to test its efficacy in your case. In these trials, patients who have not been able to control their disease with other treatments have other alternatives.
With an exhaustive follow-up by the Epilepsy Team, led by Dr. Antonio Gil-Nagel and several epileptologists with long experience in this type of studies (Dr. Ángel Aledo, Dr. Rafael Toledano, Dr. Carla Anciones and Dr. Irene García Morales).
We also have two nurses specialized in the management of patients with epilepsy who are in contact with patients and their families.
Inclusion criteria for new epilepsy trial
Being older than 18 years
Having focal epilepsy that has not responded to two or more drugs
Having 4 or more seizures per month
In this type of studies, distance is not a problem.
All tests, follow-up visits and even travel expenses, if the patient and his family are from outside Madrid, are covered by the trial. Once included in the trial, the patient has access to medication, medical care and all necessary diagnostic tests at no additional cost.
