Complex partial seizures

During complex partial seizures, there is an alteration in the ability to relate to other people and the environment.

In general, the sufferer has slurred speech, disorientation and amnesia. There is no loss of muscle tone. Automatic acts are also frequent, such as chewing, swallowing, repetitive hand movements, aimless walking.

They usually last between 1 and 2 minutes. After regaining consciousness, sufferers do not remember what has happened, are somewhat confused and sometimes feel sleepy, low mood or tired.
