Delayed sleep phase syndrome

Sleep phase delay syndrome is a very common circadian sleep rhythm disorder in adolescents, who are identified as “lazy” and “slackers”.

In this disorder, the sleep episode begins and ends hours later than usual and patients have marked difficulty falling asleep and excessive daytime sleepiness.
