Mitochondrial diseases

Mitochondrial diseases are the result of a defect of the mitochondria (parts in which the cells of the organism are constituted) responsible for generating the necessary energy and for a good development and correct function of the organs and systems, if the functioning is not correct it can lead to cell death causing that the systems can fail affecting the brain, heart, liver, muscle, kidney, endocrine and respiratory systems.
