REM sleep disorders

Parasomnia appearing during REM sleep, with episodes of complex motor behaviors in which the subject presents defensive and aggressive reactions, sometimes towards the bed partner.

These episodes are related to daydreams in which the subject feels that he/she is assaulted by another person or animal. It is usually accompanied by screams and insults and appears during the second half of the night.
