Spinal vascular malformation
Spinal vascular malformation is a group of anomalous vessels located in the spinal cord.
They represent a small percentage of vascular malformations of the nervous system.
There are two main groups: those located inside the medulla (telangiectasias, cavernous angiomas and intramedullary arteriovenous malformations) and extramedullary arteriovenous malformations.
They may produce symptoms secondary to hemorrhage or spinal cord infarction.
