Press release activity inquiries

Madrid, May 7, 2020

Dear patients, family and friends,

We are aware of the consequences of the pandemic we are suffering. We are sorry if there have been personal or family consequences. We hope and wish that you are well.

A month and a half ago we took a series of special measures to deal with the situation. During this time we have continued to provide continuous neurological care both in person and telematically.

We have now made new changes to ensure adequate care for our patients. The necessary human and technical resources have been put in place to be able to offer face-to-face assistance with the utmost safety for patients and their companions, and for our staff. In addition, we continue to offer the possibility of videoconsultation care.

The measures adopted for face-to-face care in outpatient clinics are as follows:

  1. Care and administrative personnel shall be provided with appropriate protective measures.
  2. Daily monitoring of the health status of all personnel. In the event of any symptom, their presence in the facilities will be avoided. All personnel are tested for COVID-19.
  3. By telephone, before going for a consultation, the patient and his/her companion are given a questionnaire aimed at avoiding the presence in the consultation room of persons who may be at risk of transmitting COVID-19 infection.
  4. Patients with symptoms consistent with possible COVID infection or confirmed COVID infection will be seen at other facilities outside the office.
  5. By telephone, before going for consultation, the patient and his/her companion are given a series of instructions to be followed upon arrival at the outpatient clinic (mask, hand cleaning and safety distances).
  6. Before going for a consultation, patients will be sent a voucher by e-mail or other means so that they can demonstrate to the authorities the need to travel.
  7. Consultation agendas are coordinated, increasing appointment intervals to avoid patient overlapping.
  8. Exhaustive cleaning and disinfection protocol of all facilities twice a day. Cleaning and disinfection of contact surfaces after each patient care.
  9. Constant ventilation of reception, waiting rooms, consultation rooms and rehabilitation room.
  10. The professional will change gloves after attending each patient.

The Neurology Department ( First Floor, Hospital Ruber Internacional) will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

Thank you very much for trusting us.

Sincerely.
