What is it? ADHD
Neuropsychological evaluation is a diagnostic procedure whose objective is to determine the patient’s cognitive performance, information that is not available with other methods such as electroencephalography or magnetic resonance imaging.
How is it done?
For this purpose, psychometric tests, questionnaires and scales are administered under a scientific framework (virtual reality tests, batteries and manipulative material) in order to assess language, attention, executive functions, gnosias and praxias, etc.
What is the objective?
The data obtained are collected to establish the current cognitive and socio-emotional profile, identifying strengths and weaknesses in order to determine which process generates the difficulties identified by the environment. Thus, in the evaluation process the main objective is not to determine what is failing but why it is failing.
