Preferential dedication to headaches and cerebral vascular disease
Dr. Elena Riva Amarante has extensive training specializing in headaches and cerebral vascular diseases. After graduating in Medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid in 2000, she completed her training as a neurology resident at the Ramón y Cajal Hospital in 2005. Subsequently, he specialized in cerebral vascular pathology in the stroke unit of the Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona (2005-2006). Since 2007 he has been working in the Clinical Neurology Unit of the neurology service at the Ruber Internacional hospital, attending inpatients, outpatients and emergencies. In recent years he has specialized in the care of patients with headaches and facial pain, within a multidisciplinary team involving physiotherapy and nursing. It performs treatments with anesthetic blocks and botulinum toxin.
