Preferential dedication to neuropathies, myopathies and motor neuron disease.
Dr. Jesús Esteban specialized in Neurology at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid, and later specialized in neuromuscular diseases at the “Cecil B Day laboratory for neuromuscular diseases” at the Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, USA).
Upon his return, he began research studies on familial ALS in Spain and started a monographic practice at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre.
For more than 25 years he has had a special dedication to the study and treatment of muscle diseases( inflammatorymyopathies, musculardystrophies, metabolic myopathies, toxic myopathies ), neuro-muscular junction diseases (myasthenia gravis, Eaton-Lambert’s syndrome and other myastheniform diseases) and neuropathies (focal neuropathies, polyneuropathy, polyradiculopathies).
