Dr. Victor Antonio Blanco Palmero is part of the Memory Unit of the Ruber Internacional Hospital. He trained as a neurologist at the Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre, a national reference center in general neurology and neurodegenerative pathologies. Subsequently, he sub-specialized in the diagnosis and treatment of cognitive disorders through a Río Hortega contract, combining clinical activity in the Cognitive Impairment Unit of said Hospital with research activity in the Neurodegenerative Diseases Group of imas12.
He has experience in the management of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias (frontotemporal dementia, dementia with Lewy bodies, vascular dementia, normotensive hydrocephalus, among others) and has participated in more than a dozen clinical trials related to these pathologies. In addition to his clinical work, he actively participates in translational research projects and has several papers published in international journals.
