Neuropsychologist highly specialized in neuropsychological assessment and clinical intervention in different pathologies related to learning disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders and childhood brain damage, she complements her professional profile with extensive experience in Early Intervention, Autism Spectrum Disorders, diagnosis through virtual reality systems and evaluation of interpathology comorbidity, being this the focus of her research both in her Master’s thesis and her doctoral dissertation.
Previous professional experience as director of the Centro Sur de Atención a la Diversidad Educativa and her work as a neuropsychologist in highly specialized teams with Dyslexia, TEL, ADD/ADHD, epilepsy, neurological syndromes and disability. She also has strategies for addressing difficulties in the socio-affective area, namely HHSS, emotional regulation, behavior modification and mood.
Extensive experience in approaching hospital inpatients and outpatients with children and adolescents. In the training area, Irene teaches university teaching of Psychology degree, as well as training to health professionals, educators and families.
