Covid-19 and Parkinson’s. Are there therapeutic limitations?

Many patients with Parkinson’s disease wonder whether they may be affected to a greater extent by SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19 disease virus).

In this interview, conducted with Dr. Kurtis, Director of the Movement Disorders Program, by Neurodiem, she answers a number of questions of interest to these patients:

  • Do Parkinson’s patients have a higher risk of contracting the disease?
  • Do they have a higher risk of complications?
  • Is it known how it can affect Parkinson’s patients?
  • What is your opinion on current COVID19 treatments?
  • Are there any limitations or specific contraindications for these patients?
